Also, you should make a DSAR request to find out what info they’ve got on the company that’s been trying to ring you. Under GDPR, they’re legally required to give you that info within 30 days.

If you do call, you’ll probably be hit with a huge charge or someone trying to scam money out of you. HMRC wouldn’t send a final warning like that - they always send proper letters in the post. I got a missed call from this number earlier, so I rang back. An Indian bloke picked up and claimed he was from H&M revenue, asking for personal info. I told him I wasn’t giving out any details, then he just hung up. Later, they called again, but this time it was some robotic voicemail talking about a final warning and a spam investigation or something. Bit sketchy if you ask me.
