Got a call about National Insurance and some prison threat or something. Caller ID showed a name, but when I answered it was just some elderly bloke. Probably a scam, so I’d say just block and ignore it.

A woman rang about double glazing, and when I asked where she’d got my contact from, she refused to hang up and kept saying it was from some official source. She tried telling me the glass on my windows was outdated. I questioned her again about where she found my number, and she repeated it was from the authorities. When I mentioned the TPS, she suddenly asked if I was registered. I calmly told her we had more important things going on and she shouldn’t be wasting our time.

Got a call on my landline earlier today. The bloke obviously knew my full details - name, phone number, and even my address. His voice was really muffled so I had to ask him to speak clearer. Claimed he was calling from Crown, saying they were carrying out home energy surveys nearby for some government scheme. I wasn’t having any of it and just hung up. Later, I looked them up and yes, there’s a Crown Energy alright, but nowhere near Blackpool with that dialling code. Seems a bit dodgy they’d reach out like that to random homes.
