Got a call from someone claiming to be from an energy firm asking whether my windows were over 10 years old and if I could get any discounts. I told them my windows definitely were, but as I was at work, I said I couldn’t chat further. That was the end of the conversation.

This was clearly a scam. The caller pretended to be from an energy company and warned me about the chance of being put on some emergency tariff.
