These scams can be really risky.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from O2 and offered a discount on my phone bill. I just ended the call straight away, but later I got an OTP message from O2 anyway. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I had a rather curious encounter with a chap claiming to be Jason from O2. He mentioned something about reducing my monthly charges with them. However, when I began to probe for more information and verify his identity, the call abruptly cut off. It was as if the connection had just vanished into thin air! Quite suspicious, if you ask me.

I reckon it was a scammer attempting to trick me into giving info about my phone plan. The voice sounded like it was from an Indian call centre.

Got a call from a recorded voice with an American accent, said it was HMRC and told me to press 1 or I'd end up in court and even jail. Just blocked it straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with O2, telling me there was a special deal on the last few months of my contract. They asked me to give them a one-time code and answer my security question. After that, they managed to log in and swap my password and username around.

The bloke’s English was awful, I had to keep asking him to speak up. He said he was from some place like Auto Network or whatever, but I’m not even sure that’s right. He was trying to sell some kind of discount deal. Honestly, I just chuckled and wasn’t taking him seriously. When I asked which country he was ringing from, he dodged the question. After a bit, I just got fed up and gave him the old “buzz off”.

Got a call from some bloke saying his name was Jason, number showed up as 02. I had a bit of fun by teasing him, and he just snapped back telling me to “piss off”. Definitely a scammer!
