I received a call from someone purporting to be from Sky, asserting that my broadband connection was sluggish. They went on to state that I was eligible for a refund, which seemed a bit suspect. When he requested that I log into my online banking, it struck me as fishy, so I began to uninstall the dubious software he had me install to supposedly enhance my internet speed. I feigned ignorance about my banking password, saying I’d need to ring him back. This clearly ruffled his feathers as he pressed on about my refund. I reiterated that I couldn't access my online banking and would have to return his call. His tone soured, and he ultimately told me to do as I wished before abruptly ending the call.
