They've been calling me nonstop the whole day, definite scam!

Phone rang earlier with someone claiming our npower contract needed renewing - not true at all! I told them straight away, but then they went on about how npower had broken up into smaller companies and I needed to sign up again. After a bit, they seemed to get bored when I kept insisting they send me all the info in writing first.

Just after I shared a post about starting a new business on Facebook, these lot have been calling non-stop, especially during our busiest times like lunch breaks in the school holidays. They’ve made it clear they won’t stop pestering us. I’m planning to report these annoying scammers to our phone company to have their numbers blocked. If that doesn't work, my team’s been told to give them a proper telling off and to bugger off for good.

We put a post on Facebook about us managing a new site, and in less than two hours, these scammers rang up telling us to sign up our meter. Absolute fraudsters!

Got two calls back to back from these numbers and another one starting with 01253. They said we had just started a business and had to sign up with them or that they were from Tyco insisting on the need to register for gas and electricity at our site. Seems like folks like this are trawling through social media and the web looking for events or community groups, then ringing the listed contacts trying to trick you into handing over your personal or bank info. Luckily they didn’t manage to get any of that from me.

This number has called me about five times in just 30 minutes. I haven’t answered any of their calls and they didn’t bother leaving any voicemail either. It shows up as a Blackpool number on my phone.
