The caller insists that one of our advertising partners has gone into administration and claims they can assist us in reclaiming our funds. When I started probing him about how he obtained our information and the specifics regarding our expenditure, he became quite irate and abruptly hung up on me. His explanation was that it’s all documented in our contracts, which he claimed to possess, along with bank transfer statements. The issue is, we never conducted a bank transfer! It’s an outright violation of data protection laws for them to have our contract details. Clearly, he wasn’t pleased that I was onto his little scheme.
