I received a call from someone who asserted they were affiliated with an energy advice centre, or something along those lines. Honestly, I can't quite remember all the details of our chat. However, they were keen to find out if I owned the property and expressed an interest in conducting some sort of survey.

I picked up since the caller ID showed a Blackpool area code and I assumed it might be a mate or someone familiar. Turns out, it was supposedly from some energy advice company asking if I still owned the property. When I questioned them about which address they thought I owned, especially as I've moved miles away from Blackpool, they suddenly got all upbeat and said thanks before hanging up. Pretty sure they were just fishing for details to sell on, if you ask me.

I got a call from someone saying they were from an energy advice centre. Sounded a bit off to me, like maybe a scam or something. They were all pushy about checking my bills, which made me suspicious straight away. Not sure if anyone else has had this, but be careful if they ring you up with that story.

Maybe I'm just being a bit paranoid, but a few hours after I finished chatting to my mum who'd just returned from Blackpool, I got a call from a number with a Blackpool area code. After seeing what others have said about it, I've decided to block the number now.
