When I asked the chap what the company's name was, he mentioned something along the lines of 'Green Deal Advice Line'. Curious, I inquired about their registration number, but he couldn't provide it. I then asked for their website and email address - again, nothing. So I probed further, asking how long they'd been in business, and he was completely stumped. I said to him, "You're asking me to consider a company for work on my home, yet you can't share any details about them, and you're supposedly working there?" He countered that I had pressed '2' for info on the loans. I reminded him they had called me, particularly when I'm registered with TPS, and kindly requested they refrain from contacting me again.

I pressed 2 and found myself speaking to someone from the 'National Green Advice Line'. When they enquired about my interest in solar panels, I decided to throw them off a bit by providing this address:

They inquired about my name, and I cheekily replied with 'Goy fook yorself'. After a brief chat, I thanked them for their time and promptly ended the call.

To my surprise, they rang me back and I answered with an exaggerated 'HEllllloooo!' (I’ve got caller ID, so blocking them is easy peasy.)

They proceeded to make some bizarre noises into the phone for about ten seconds before giving up and hanging up.

I hope this brings a chuckle to some, as I’m planning to have a bit of fun with them every single day.

I've been receiving a barrage of these calls, and they are exceedingly bothersome. They appear on my phone as "INTERNAT'". It’s been an ongoing irritation for weeks, with a couple of them cropping up each week. Today, I pressed '2' and managed to get through to a representative who claimed to be from the Government Green Deal Advice Line, discussing government-subsidised boilers and solar energy options. He provided me with a number to supposedly reach his superiors to request these calls cease immediately. I reminded him that we're on the Telephone Preference Service, and asked him to ensure this number is scrubbed from their database. He assured me he would - let's see if he keeps his word!

I get calls from this international number constantly. It’s always some pre-recorded message. Today I decided to press 2 to lodge a complaint, but they simply hung up on me. Soon after, they called back, so I pressed 2 again hoping to chat with someone, and lo and behold, they hung up yet again! What a frustrating experience!
