Ignored the call completely. Didn’t pick up. Later looked up the number once it stopped ringing. Pretty clear it was a scam - these calls are risky since they might trick you into handing over private info. I’ve answered ones like this before and ended up being harrased and sworn at which was off. Now I just let unknown numbers go and then find out who it was later. My tip? Block these numbers straight away.

A bloke claiming to be Jason from BT rang me, saying there was an issue with my phone line and asked for my bank info. So, I spent about 15 minutes giving him a whole bunch of fake numbers. It was actually quite a laugh having a bit of a natter during lockdown. Then I told him to sort himself out, get some education, and try a legit job instead of scamming folks. That really got on his nerves, and he started cursing at me. Proper cheeky!
