It was annoying, as soon as I picked up the phone they just cut the call straight away.

Some bloke with an Indian accent rang me, said he was from BT Openreach and wanted to boost my internet speed. There was loads of noise in the background, making it tricky to understand him. I ended the call pretty quickly 'cause it all seemed like a dodgy scam.

Just a quick heads up - I got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent, speaking super fast, saying he was representing BT’s tech team. He claimed they were working for Sky, Virgin and others, fixing network issues caused by my gear because of COVID. At first, I played along and he asked how many lights were on my router. I asked what number of lights was normal, and he said three, which is off - my Virgin box definitely doesn’t show that. Then I asked what colours they should be and he said green, but that’s not right either. I told him he ought to know what sort of box I have and to tell me the correct lights, but then he just hung up. BE WARNED, this is definitely a scam trying to steal your info.
