Got a call saying my internet was gonna get cut off for a day to check for illegal stuff, then asked me to press 1. Seemed dodgy to me.

Got a call from this number around 1:46pm today, some bloke with a thick accent claiming to be from BT saying my internet was hacked or something. I asked him if he could sort it for me. Then he started going on about checking my router and how many lights were blinking. Told him I’m too old to fiddle about with that sort of thing. Guess what? He just hung up straight away. Not the sharpest these scammers, are they!
