Since the number showed up clearly, i picked up thinking it’s legit. there was a lot of noise like a call centre in the background, and the guy said he was calling from BT. When i asked what it was about, he mentioned something about my broadband. I got a bit suspicious and just ended the call straight away, cos I’d heard about loads of scams like this lately. Checked this site afterwards and turns out my gut feeling was spot on.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, so I just let it ring out.

Somebody rang me pretending to be from BT, saying my internet was running slow and needed fixing. Felt a bit dodgy, so I hung up straightaway. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.
