Got a really rude caller asking if I’d been in some kind of accident, then turned right nasty about what he wanted to do. Honestly, they must not check who works in their call centre at all. Felt proper gross after the call. Ended up getting a landline that blocks unwanted calls - best investment ever to stop this happening again!

Got a call from this number at about 7:30 in the morning, loads of noise in the background. A bloke with a strong foreign accent asked if I was alright and then mentioned something about a car crash. I told him I think he dialled the wrong number, then he just ended the call.

Some bloke, maybe Indian or African, rang me about 1:55pm saying someone at my address had a car accident in the last couple of years. I asked "Where exactly did this happen?" and he said it was a verification call, not to give info. I told him he sounded like a scammer, and he got rude, telling me to "go f##k myself". Most people might be shocked, but I told him exactly where to shove it! Then he ended the call. He hadn’t blocked his number but when I rang back it went straight to voicemail saying full. Why can't these annoying calls be blocked or better yet, they get prosecuted?

16/05/18 Some bloke with a thick Indian accent was hardly clear but eventually said something about me being in a car crash. I ended up dropping every curse word I knew before I even caught what he was on about (same thing’s happened to me before) and then I just slammed the phone down. Like many others, it’s just a pointless waste of time for both sides. Do they honestly expect anyone to say, “Brilliant, I was expecting your call, it’s not my fault and I’ve got whiplash”? And when you politely tell them off with a “go look after yourself”, the abuse you get back is something else! (As that singer, Justin Beaver, might say.) Got a call from this number this evening. Some Indian guy asked me about a car crash, and when I told him I’ve got no car, he went nuts. I’m not the kinda person who gets rattled easily, but honestly, that call could terrify someone else who isn’t as tough.

Just got a call from this number. At first it was a woman speaking but when I mentioned the TPS, a bloke’s voice suddenly took over saying ‘haven’t you heard of Ex Directory?’ I said I was, then he said I wasn’t. Then the woman’s voice came back asking ‘WHY ARE YOU WASTING MY TIME?’ I told them they were the ones who called me and then I ended the call.

Got a call claiming I'd been in a crash that never happened. In a cheeky mood, I played along and said, "Oh really? How did you guess?" The guy got all excited and asked how many folks were in the car. I said 20. After a pause, he asked again. I told him it’s not hard to fit 20 in my little KA - 3 stretched across the backseat, then a few more piled on top, even using the seats, you get the picture. He ended up hanging up. Some bloke rang me, gave his name but I didn’t quite catch it, said he was from Accident Helpline about an accident I supposedly had.
