Got a call from someone speaking what I think was Hindi. When we tried to reply, they just ignored us. We muted the phone and kept listening - the bloke acted like he was chatting to someone, chuckled now and then, paused like he was listening, then went on talking. Got a call from someone saying they were with Carphone Warehouse. When I asked how they got my number, they said they had permission from all the big UK networks, whatever that means. As soon as I mentioned GDPR rules, they sounded nervous and kept insisting they'd got authorisation.
