Somebody pretending to be from BT Openreach called, saying there was an issue with my broadband. They tried that old trick with the event viewer, pointing out errors that are always there. Then they pushed me to install a remote access programme, something like anydeski###. Even after I called them out as frauds, they kept going for about 20 minutes trying to persuade me. I eventually got fed up and hung up. They rang me back three times, using these numbers: 01201484434, 012117606122, 012107894245, and 01250067631. Looks like they’re using random numbers to avoid detection.
