Some bloke rang me claiming to be from BT’s tech team, asking if I was the primary internet user. He went on about a hacker having broken through my firewall. Instantly, something felt off. For one thing, BT would be Openreach, wouldn’t it? Also, he didn’t ask any questions to verify who I was. I called him out as a scammer and ended the call straight away. I then did a reverse lookup on the number but saw no reports about it previously.
