Had a call from someone claiming to be BT, but the woman’s voice sounded really American, which seemed a bit odd. She told me my internet was about to be disconnected and asked me to press 1 or 2 for options. I reckon pressing any of those would’ve just rung up a premium rate number. These calls are such a pain, especially for folks who might not know what’s going on. Since I’m with Sky myself, it made me really suspicious straight away. Makes you wonder why the big phone companies just let stuff like this carry on.
