The person on the phone had a strong Asian accent, so it was really hard to make out what they were saying. They kept asking me for my name and which age bracket I belonged to. I just ended up hanging up after a bit.

Some bloke named Sebastion rang me, sounding all posh, telling me my TV warranty had expired and they’d sort it out for me. I asked him why I needed that, then he just hung up on me. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Igloo Appliances, telling me my TV warranty had run out. He actually knew my name and where I live, but then asked for my bank sort code, which seemed odd. I told him I’d never heard of that firm before and just got a letter from my genuine provider last week. When I mentioned that, he went quiet and said it was a bit strange. Then he said sorry and ended the call. Definitely a scam.

A bloke phoned me up claiming he was in the process of renewing my television insurance at a reduced rate. He even had my full name and address on hand! The thing is, I’ve never actually taken out any dedicated insurance for my telly. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
