Reports on phone number 01248362243
8 yearsI received a rather dodgy call the other day from a bloke with a distinctly Asian accent, who claimed he was from Benefit UK. He insisted I partake in a series of questions, to which I promptly responded with a firm 'No' and hung up. Frankly, this isn’t the first time he’s tried his luck; they've attempted to ring me on multiple occasions in the past, though none recently. It appears to me that this might be a marketing outfit aiming to gather personal details for tailored advertisements, and I'm leaning towards the notion that it could well be a scam. The name they’ve chosen for their supposed company sounds eerily similar to something a Government agency would use. If you happen to get a similar call, I recommend you simply hang up!BenefitUKNoGovernment8 yearsI answered and just ended up hanging up. Strangely, the number didn't appear in my last calls on BT Call Protect, so I couldn't even block it! Quite odd really.8 yearsI was curious about a few things and thought I'd ask here. Pretty sure it was a scam.8 yearsGot a call from some bloke claiming to be from the UK benefits office, but sounded Indian. Took ages for him to pick up, which made me think it wasn’t actually from Bangor, probably Bangalore instead. Don't give out any details - the benefits office usually writes to you and won’t ring unless you’ve asked them to. Plus, their phone numbers end with benefits gov.uk and are always freephone. Stay cautious!BenefitsUKBangaloreBangor8 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were from benefits uk, wanted to verify my name and postcode.
