Got a call from this woman who said she was Rachel, sounded like she was from Pakistan or maybe the Philippines, and said she was with TPS or something. Told her to bugger off and bother someone else instead. Fingers crossed I didn’t end up ruining someone else’s day with how I handled it!

I got a call from someone with an English accent claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service, saying they’d block nuisance calls for me permanently. They asked to confirm my address but I said no, and then they just ended the call straight away.

I’ve had about five calls today from numbers starting with Bangor on my phone - there could be more, I’ve been out most of the day. They never leave a message, so I just ignore them. What a nuisance these people are; they must be scamming others somehow to keep doing this. Honestly, they deserve to be stopped for good.

Got a call from 01248209540 saying they were from TPS, trying to get me to upgrade my subscription which I never asked for. Told them there’s no need to renew anything. The guy on the phone was Asian and when I asked if I could just do it through the internet, he said no and just hung up on me. I’ve reported it to TPS now.

Some guy from Pakistan called, said he was with the telephone preference service or something. I told him I’ve already had about four calls from them and honestly, it’s getting pretty annoying. He goes, “That’s exactly why we’re calling to fix it.” Then when I mentioned that my husband handles all the phone stuff, he just abruptly ended the call. Bit strange, really.

Really annoying calls from dodgy people. Don’t pick up or ring them back. They’ve been using loads of different numbers, but they all begin with Bangor’s area code (01248). They’ll tell you they can block unwanted calls if you hand over some cash and your bank info. Complete rubbish - they’re just after your money.

Got a call from a woman called Nivea claiming she worked for a phone security company. She said they could stop all annoying calls forever if I paid £21.99. Definitely sounded dodgy to me, a total scam.

So today I had to block another phone with the 01248 dialling code, and guess what? Just after that, I got four more calls from the same area - the numbers ended in 209540 and 245782. I’ve blocked those two as well. I can’t help but wonder if they’ll ever run out of these numbers 🤔🤔🤔
