Got a call out of the blue from a bloke who sounded overly cheerful and already knew my name. He asked if I could do a quick survey about renewable energy. When I asked where he got my number, he said it was from some national marketing list. When I told him I wasn’t interested, he seemed a bit put out and then got quite rude after I said please don’t call again. Ended the call and I’ve since blocked the number.

Bit of a cheeky bloke. Started off asking how I was and about my day. When I cut to the chase and said ‘What do you want?’, he replied ‘I want to win the lotto and loads of other stuff’ then just hung up.

Happy lady on the phone with what sounded like a busy call centre behind her. She asked if she was speaking to Mrs M#### (my partner). I told her there’s no one here by that name. Then she asked if this was South Cottage. I said no, though I was a bit unsure. She replied, "Sorry, must have got the wrong info." Turns out South Cottage was my old address like 12 years ago; we just kept the same number after moving. Looks like they’re using a really outdated database.

Got a call out of the blue, asked them how they got my number and they said something about the National Marketing Database then just cut me off. I tried ringing back and got a recorded voice saying it was for marketing, then it just went silent.
