Got a call from some company asking if I’d travelled overseas at any point in the last couple of years, saying I might qualify for a refund linked to hygiene inspections. When I tried ringing them back, there was this American-sounding automated message saying “your call is important to us” before someone eventually answered. The number showed as local, but the person answering definitely didn’t sound like they were from around here. They didn’t have any details about my travel, just my phone number and address (which was right), guessing if I’d been abroad or not in that timeframe. Didn’t really fancy finding out where it was headed, so I cut the call short and blocked the number.

This number keeps ringing me non stop, like multiple times a day! I've asked them to stop and remove me from their calling list but no luck, they just keep calling. It's really annoying especially when they phone me late in the evening, like at 8 or 9pm - totally not needed then.
