I picked up the phone and greeted the caller with a whimsical term-today’s choice was 'Ballyhoo!'-which is my little trick to baffle potential scammers. I fell silent afterwards, and while I could hear some commotion emanating from their end, they didn’t utter a single word before abruptly hanging up. Since I have no acquaintances hailing from Chesterfield, I’m led to believe this was yet another scam attempt.
