Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be from a finance firm. What unsettled me was they already had my name, the firms where I hold my two pensions, and of course, my number. I asked how they got hold of my details since they're meant to be protected under data laws. They told me they’re officially approved by the ICO. I rang the ICO myself and they basically told me the caller was full of it. Now I’m determined to find out where these lot are getting my info from.

I rang this number back and it came up as Utilita. I looked them up and they are an energy firm (never dealt with them before). They offered an option to opt out of marketing, but that didn’t seem to work properly - felt like it might charge you or something. I’m gonna block this number now.

Got a call on Friday around 4.45pm (2nd Sept), only a few rings before they cut off. Didn’t recognise the number so didn’t answer. Lately, I’ve been getting loads of these scam calls, really annoying now. They usually ask for a Mr King, but that’s not me! Sorry for the little vent!

Someone rang me earlier checking if I had a credit card with MBA, then they rattled off a bunch of banks, I said no to every one and eventually they just cut me off. I blocked the number straight away, but now theyve messaged saying they're still trying. Total scam if you ask me.

Redstar rang me and I was quite straightforward, telling them to stop messing about and just say what they wanted. They ended up hanging up but said they’d ring back. Good luck with that now I’ve blocked their number.

Dont pick up if you get this call, they already had my name and then said “hi, it’s Red star??? i’m calling about a refund. Did you ever use a Lloyds, Barclays” (then rattled off loads of other bank names) card? I dont have any of those cards, so i just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

Red Star Financial, they are from an Indian call centre, kept ringing my Chesterfield number. They just won’t accept NO as an answer. This is the third time in as many days they’ve called me, using different area codes each time. Blocked their number now.

I picked up the phone and didn’t utter a word - they remained silent for what felt like an eternity. I'm not quite sure if I accidentally disconnected the call or if they decided to end it themselves (I got a bit sidetracked while trying to locate their number).
