Someone called saying they were from BT Openreach checking on an internet issue. I played along with some fake tech problems, hoping to see where it went. Then they suddenly asked for cash to sort out a "computer virus." When I questioned it, they got quite rude and just hung up. Could be really risky for folks who aren’t computer savvy.

I got a call saying there was some dodgy activity on my credit card, like £100 being sent overseas, and to press 1 if I wanted to sort it. Thing is, I hadn’t made any of those payments at all.
