I caught some noise of a call centre in the background before the line suddenly went dead.

Asked for the homeowner, Mr, but as soon as i said I was the owner, they just hung up on me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with 'Universal Homes' and they wanted to speak to my husband, said "mr ###2" or something like that. Pretty obvious it was some sales pitch, probably from Essex. I ended it nicely but honestly just another pointless interruption.

got a call from someone saying they were with "optimal energy", which is an actual business, but the phone number was from a totally different area. as soon as i told them we weren’t involved with that company, they just hung up. sounds like they’re not following the tps rules and probably making up the company name to seem legit.
