I was on the call with them for nearly an hour and managed to get the price down to just £23 a month for an iPhone 13 Pro Max - all thanks to Alex Hill from Carphone Warehouse. I kept pressing him for his employee ID, and after a while, they just gave up and cut me off. Proper dodgy deal that was, but they really didn't like me by the end! Loved every minute of it!

Got a call and thought it was Carphone Warehouse at first, but then figured I haven’t dealt with them in ages, like over 6 years. Since GDPR came in, they shouldn’t really have my info anymore. Ended up just hanging up and blocking the number. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Total scam artists! I wouldn’t answer if I were you, and definitely block the number straight away. If you’ve got a missed call from them, don't bother ringing back. Also, be careful not to leave any personal info in your voicemail greeting. Not sure if it’s standard on all Androids, but mine actually warns me when a caller might be dodgy, which is pretty handy.

This seems to be one of those dodgy car-phone warehouse scams. They’ll try to trick you into handing over your bank info or paying upfront with some empty promise of a refund, but they never actually send anything. As soon as they rang me, I looked up the number and saw all the warnings about it being a scam. I decided to mess about and see if they’d ring back, and sure enough, they did. I just let it ring and then blocked it. Next thing, I got about four more calls, each from different landlines scattered across the UK! Honestly, I can’t believe the police haven’t cracked down on these lot yet. Whatever you do, don’t share your details or pay anything to these scammers.

Got called no less than 6 times in about 6 minutes by someone saying they were Charlie from Carphone Warehouse. First it was from 01204204004, told him to buzz off. Then a different number, 01157060035, and I warned I'd get the coppers involved. After that he rang a few more times - back from 01204204004, then 01250890024, 01257666035 and finally 0124589028. Didn't even bother answering the last three. Different area codes each time but clearly the same bloke. Ended up blocking every one of the numbers.

I’ve gotten a few calls from 01245 892028, which is Spark Solution, a marketing firm. Tried calling back but no luck, eventually got through to an automated message saying “welcome to…” with options like press 1 and so on. It felt like they shoved me into some endless waiting line. Got a call about some new phone offer. I was curious and asked how they got my number. The lady, sounding Indian, just snapped back saying I wasn’t allowed to ask that. When I pushed a bit more, she accused me of swearing and then just cut the call. Proper rude!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was calling from Carphone Warehouse. When I didn’t respond, he just ended the call. I rang the number back and it actually went to Spark Solutions. They told me to get in touch at [email protected] if I wanted to opt out of their marketing. Got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse in Chelmsford. He offered me an iPhone 13 Plus Max Pro for £38 a month, but asked for £53 in advance. He assured me this would be refunded once the phone arrived and promised to sort out cancelling my existing mobile contract. Said his name was Amar and gave an ID number, I think it was 3021.
