I just ended the call straight away.1 yearSome lady called claiming they'd taken £360 from my bank for insurance on our TV we supposedly got back in 2016. I told her we’ve been renting the telly for about 30 years so no way we’ve got any cover on it. She kept pushing and when I tried giving her my details, she just argued back. I asked for her name and phone number to verify what she was saying, and she said her name was Maya and gave me a dodgy number starting with 0, then just hung up. We have a list of suspicious numbers and hers matched 01245820647. Then they said I hadn’t paid the last instalments for the plan. When I asked for a copy of the contract, they couldn’t send me one, nor could they say which TVs were supposedly covered. I don’t do extended warranties, so I knew straight away it was a scam. Told the bloke not to ring me back, but he phoned straight away and even said he knows where I live.
