I got a call from some green energy firm offering a free assessment on my loft insulation and cavity wall stuff, saying they’d check if I was getting the best energy efficiency. They also mentioned a free government grant to cover the cost. Seemed a bit odd as I didn't think the government was offering anything like that lately. I’m not sure if it was legit or just a sales pitch really. I had that work done around five years ago, so I’m not keen on doing it again anytime soon. Surely if they’re working for the government, they’d know I’ve already had this done.
