I got a call from a bloke who said he was with the Ofcom call blocking team. He didn't bother using my actual name, just some random one instead. He told me the call blocking thing was getting cancelled and I needed to set it up again. Felt fishy straight away, so I just ended the call. Oh, and just to clear up, it was Ofcom, not Ofgem.

got a call from a guy who said he was from some ofgem call blocking thing. he didn’t say my real name, just some general name. said the service was stopping and i needed to set it up again. felt fishy so i just ended the call. probably a scam.

can you believe the audacity? got a call outta nowhere trying to get me to sign up for some service that promises to stop annoying calls. sounds like a dodgy scam to me, just trying to trick people into giving away their bank details. told the lady on the other end to go block herself instead.
