Got a call from a mobile number, and when I answered, a woman’s voice said I was being looked at by HMRC for dodging taxes, and I needed to ring back. I tried calling back, but it went to some sort of call centre with an Asian accent, and it was obvious they were trying to scam me. Avoid it!

That was a bit odd. The phone first rang with a proper British tone, then suddenly changed to some American ringtone. What’s going on there? A lady came on and said she'd connect me to a chief officer. Then this bloke with a thick Indian accent said he was from HM Revenue & Customs. He started rattling on about fraud and a warrant for my arrest. I just put the phone down straight away 'cause I could tell it was some sort of dodgy scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC saying I was involved in tax fraud and that they'd arrest me within 24 hours if I didn’t hit 1. I just ended the call straight away. Blocked the number now.

Got a robo call supposedly from HMRC telling me I've got a warrant for my arrest and to ring them back on their number. Honestly, they should be taken down for this!
