some bloke called james anderson left me a couple of voicemails yesterday. he called from two different numbers - one was 01244941769, the other 01438940554. the voice sounded foreign and he said something about a complaint for not paying tax, warning that they’d take me to court if i didn’t ring back quickly. it’s stressing me out quite a bit. i’ll have to ring hmrc monday and sort it all out.

Like some others here, my missus answered the phone and a stranger spoke with a foreign accent saying something about "a legit complaint against you". She just cut the call off then. Makes me wonder, what would an "illegitimate complaint" even sound like?

just got a really broken call from this one. couldn't make out what they were saying and when i asked them to stop, they kept going. maybe it was some sort of robocall? either way, i ended the call and put the number on block.

I got a call from 01244 941769, a bloke who said his name was James Anderson from HMRC, threatening to take me to court. When I told him "that’s complete nonsense," he just hung up straight away. The weird thing is, I’ve been waiting for a proper tax refund, so how they ended up with my number and mixed things up like this is beyond me.
