Got a robo call from someone saying they're from HMRE, warning me about serious trouble if I didn’t ring this number back. Sounded pretty dodgy to me.

Got a voicemail that sounded like a robotic voice claiming to be from HMRC, warning me that if I didn’t ring them back or get my lawyer to do so, there’d be some serious legal trouble. Honestly, who on earth thinks HMRC would actually call and threaten you like that? Just another scam trying to scare people.

i got a call from someone claiming to be hmre, saying i owed money and they’re taking legal action. i told them i'd ring hmre myself once i got back from work, but then they just hung up on me. seems like a total scam to me.
