Someone called saying they were from BT, telling me my internet was being misused and it’d be disconnected for a couple of hours.

I got a ring from a guy claiming his name was Peter, sounded like he was from India. He asked for me directly by name, but when I asked where he was calling from, he kinda fumbled and quickly ended the call. Feels like he wasn’t expecting me to question him and lost his cool. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call from a bloke with a really thick Indian accent, said he was from BT. He told me my internet was going to get cut off because of some dodgy download with a virus, and offered to fix it on my computer. I ended the call, but they kept ringing back non-stop and never left any voicemail.

If someone calls saying they need to get into your computer, dont share any info with them. Its usually a scam. Just hang up and be safe!

I got a call earlier from a lady named Nancy, sounded like she had an Asian accent. She claimed there was an issue with our internet connection. She insisted she had our info in some kind of database, even though we don’t even have internet service. When I asked her which internet provider she was talking about, she just cut the call. Really suspicious!

Got a call today from this number, a woman with an Asian accent named Anna claimed she was from BT saying my internet was being scammed. I told her I'd contact BT directly, but she kept pushing me to handle it through her. She got a bit annoyed and then just hung up on me. I tried ringing the number back but no answer. I've been bombarded with similar calls supposedly from BT for days, always using different numbers!
