I received a rather suspicious call from someone claiming to represent the government, offering to assist me in lowering my supposed monthly debt repayments. The thing is, I don’t actually have any debts! It felt like a bit of a scam to me, so I opted to terminate the call and promptly added them to my block list.

I've had three calls up to now. The first two were from 01244812670, then today I got one from 01244812750, but nobody picked up any of them. The third call was the same story.

Got a call from 01244812750, apparently based in Chester. They were recording my voice, which seems like they might be trying to clone your number using an eSIM hack or something. Definitely avoid calling back or engaging with them!

Been getting calls from this number loads recently, at least a dozen times in the past week. The person on the other end was asking for someone named Maxine, but that isn't me at all! Sounds like it might be some sort of debt collector.

Got a woman ringing up saying I owed money and she needed my info to 'sort out these debts'... I told her I ain't got any debts, then she tried to get me to give my full details to help her 'secure' them or something. I said no way, you’re the one who called about these supposed debts, so why should I give you my info? Ended up hanging up on me lol.

Got a call from some scammer claiming I owe over £5000. I had a bit of fun and kept her on for about 15 minutes, firing silly questions and making her repeat everything. At the end, I told her I don't owe anything, but she insisted I did - had a proper back-and-forth with her. She also said she was ringing from the government in Manchester, which was a bit of a laugh. Stay careful, folks!

They call me like three times daily, and this guy goes, "mate, if you pay 100 quid towards your owed money, we’ll just make it 40 quid a month after that." So basically, I’m shelling out 40 quid to pay off 60 quid to another person? Proper daft way of doing things if you ask me.

When I mentioned that my debt was stuffed in my boxers, they just told me to go away in a pretty rude way.

This number keeps ringing me like 5 times every single day! Everytime I pick up, I tell them to take me off their list but they flat out refuse. Then they started threatening to slap the biggest interest fees on my mortgage even after I told them I live in a council flat! Absolutely bonkers! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
