About 40 minutes back I had a missed call from this number. I’ve learnt to spot these calls so I just left it. The moment it went to voicemail, the call dropped. I usually don’t pick up with these sort of numbers. I never bother blocking them because they tend to ring back on another similar number. They seem to be using a load of 01244 area codes nowadays.

About 12 minutes ago, someone rang me pretending to be from an internet company, warning that my service would be cut off if I didn’t ring back on a certain number.

Got a call from a woman named Shirley who spoke with an American accent. She claimed to be from my internet provider and said they’d been trying to reach me because apparently my IP address was being used from different countries. She asked me to press 1 to speak to a technician. I just hung up and added the number to my block list.
