I just received a phone call claiming that my 85-year-old mother had an outstanding tax bill of £1000! They proceeded to threaten her by saying that if she didn’t cough up £500 immediately, she'd be facing arrest! Can you believe it?! Unbelievable!

I've been receiving persistent nuisance calls from this number, featuring a pre-recorded message claiming that I'm facing legal action for some fictitious tax fraud. This is the third occasion I’ve had to report them to Action Fraud, which is part of the police. It's incredibly frustrating!

Got a call from someone saying they were with HMRC, saying they were going to take me to court or something. When I hit 1, some bloke with maybe an Indian accent said I owed a specific sum and asked who handles my taxes. I told him I don't earn enough to be paying tax and just hung up. This number has rung me like every day for the last couple of weeks at least. Anyone know who’s behind it?

Been getting calls for the last couple weeks, all different numbers. Each time it's a recorded voice claiming to be from HMRC and threatening a lawsuit unless I press 1. Total scam, no way I'm picking up again. Don't fall for it.
