Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Virgin Media, said he was from New Street in London. I told him that place doesn’t exist, and asked why he was ringing when I’m not even a Virgin Media customer. He kept repeating, “You already mentioned that, ma’am.” He went on about engineers working nearby who’d apparently spotted people leeching off my internet without me knowing. I found the whole thing a bit daft and called him out on it. Then he tried to convince me he could provide my service number and other info. I kept having a laugh at his expense until he suddenly burst out, “Because you’re a bitch, ma’am, I’m cutting your internet now,” and just hung up. Proper bizarre!
