Today, I was rather taken aback by an odd automated call from this number. It claimed to be from Amazon, warning me that my Prime membership was on the verge of expiring. Quite bizarre, really, as I’ve never actually signed up for Prime in the first place!

I answered and stayed quiet without saying anything like “hello”, which normally makes those automated calls hang up. But this time, there was total silence, no greeting or sound from the other side at all.
