I encountered some rather impolite individuals on the phone today. When one of them claimed, "I hear you've been inundated with unwanted sales calls," I simply responded, "Actually, that's not the case." To my surprise, he abruptly disconnected without a hint of courtesy-no apology or farewell. Determined to confront the matter, I dialled back and kindly inquired, "Hello, was that you who rang me at Oaktrees, Mrs Lewis?" Yet again, he hung up, sans any response. Each time I attempted to reconnect, he repeated the same discourteous behaviour, severing the line without uttering a single word. Quite astonishingly rude, I must say!
