Reports on phone number 01243885829
12 yearsI've had a couple of calls from the number 01243885829. It rings four or five times and then hangs up just before I get the chance to pick up! Quite frustrating, really!12 yearsI received a rather bothersome call from this number, which, as echoed in previous remarks, was attempting to push their product on me. I endeavoured to communicate that it was indeed a nuisance call, but to no avail. When I requested to speak with the supervisor, the chap referred to me as "mate," which I found quite offensive. Mates are for sharing pints with, not for unsolicited sales tactics! The manager, when he finally came on the line, seemed to grasp the absurdity of it all, yet had the gall to claim that their call demonstrated a failure of the TPS system. I pointed out that the issue lay squarely with him, as he was contravening the law by contacting me in the first place. The TPS can't physically block calls; it solely relies on companies to respect the preferences of those registered. While I do empathise that these folks are just trying to make a living, I have no desire to be leaping across my room all day just to avoid unwanted phone calls.TPS12 yearsI recently received a call from this number, and the caller claimed that all my incoming calls would cease immediately. However, no sooner had I ended the conversation than I was bombarded with three additional cold calls! In fact, I've already counted four such calls today alone!12 yearsI received a rather peculiar call earlier today from this number. A chap on the other end claimed to represent the Telephone Preference Service, insisting he could eliminate all those pesky calls from Indian call centres that continue to invade our peace. He mentioned enrolling us onto a more reliable register, which would set us back £1.95 each month. I pointed out that I thought the TPS was complimentary and wasn't inclined to fork out any money. Once I said that, his enthusiasm seemed to wane rather quickly.PreferenceTPS13 yearsI received a call from this number just yesterday. A woman on the line was blabbing about some sort of Telephone Privacy Service. When I asked her if it was linked to the Telephone Preference Service, she abruptly cut the conversation short and hung up! Quite the dodgy situation, I must say!13 yearsA chap rang me, claiming to represent a so-called preference service, as mentioned by others. When I expressed that his call was a bother and decided to terminate the conversation, he had the audacity to ring me back a staggering seven times! On the rare occasion that I picked up, he had the cheek to label me as rude and insisted that they were trying to put an end to such disturbances. Honestly, I have zero tolerance for any unsolicited calls on my line. I believe I'm within my rights to say my piece and hang up when I wish!13 yearsToday, I received a call from that number, claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service. I informed the caller that I’m already signed up with the official TPS and shouldn't be receiving such calls. At this point, he started to get rather rude and aggressive, prompting me to hang up. Almost immediately, I received a call from a ‘withheld’ number, but I decided it wasn't worth my time to pick up.Telephone Preference ServiceTPS13 yearsThis bunch called our mobile phone.13 yearsI received a call from a chap using this number who appeared to know where I live and claimed he was associated with a telephone preference organisation. It's quite strange, considering I've raised issues about unwanted calls, albeit quite some time back! The connection on his end was quite poor, and we ended up disconnecting. I'm not entirely convinced this is a legitimate call and it's left me feeling rather uneasy.Submit Your Own Report (01243 885829)
