Got a call from a number I didn’t know, they stayed silent after I said "hello" and then there was a pause before they hung up. Now I just dont pick up unfamiliar numbers. If I do get caught off guard, I make sure not to say anything like "yes" or "no". Watch out, this sounds like a scam.

This aint no scam call. Oriel collections really do work with HMRC and ive checked like twice or even more on the HMRC website to be sure. I even phoned HMRC myself to confirm the deal with oriel and its all legit.

Then I got a call from a well-spoken man named “Neil” claiming to be from Oriel, saying he was calling about a money issue for a client. I asked him who the client was, but he just tried to get me to answer security questions. I refused, and he said I'd get a letter soon explaining everything. I told him it sounded like a scam and that I’d be blocking the number.

Some bloke claimed to be from Oriel and said some client - didn’t wanna say who - was trying to reach me about some accounting stuff. When I pushed for details, he just said it was confidential. He told me his name was Neil and said he was ringing from a company called Oriel. He sounded quite professional and wanted to get hold of one of our clients. I told him our number wouldn’t connect him to the client, but if he left his contact info and some details, I’d forward the message.
