Got a call on my phone from an Asian lady claiming to be calling from some company, but I couldn’t catch the name. Said it was a promo call about an iPhone offer. I told her I suspected it might be a scam and she immediately ended the call. Spot on!

Got a call about a "too good to be true" phone offer, like £7 a month for unlimited everything, but they wanted £39 upfront and said it’d be refunded in 14 days. They asked for my bank details straight away. Thankfully, I did a quick search first and realised it was dodgy. Almost got caught since I’m about to upgrade. Seriously, just don’t bother with this one!

When I picked up the phone, they just hung up on me. Thanks for the comments, it’s clear this is some kinda phone scam. The funny thing is I’ve been getting loads of these calls, but only since I asked for my PAC number. I’m with Smarty on the 3 network now, but was thinking about moving to O2 via GiffGaff. I haven’t actually used the PAC or switched yet tho, so maybe it’s just a coincidence that the calls started after I asked for it. Anyway, my advice is be careful if you’re asking for a PAC number!

Got a call from 01241 333035, the guy claimed he was from O2 and told me I could get 40% off my current SIM plan. Then he passed me on to the ‘floor manager’ who said his name was Kevin, and when I asked for his surname he said Hooper. But when I tried to ask for more info about his role, he just ended the call pretty quickly.

Had a call from some busy call centre and couldn't make out what they were saying, seemed like they were pushin a sale. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Earlier, I had a rather odd encounter with a chap whose English wasn't the finest. He was attempting to peddle a mobile phone and wanted to know what model I owned. When I mentioned I had a Nokia, his response was quite shocking-he told me to shove off in a rather vulgar manner! To make matters even more amusing, my phone was on speaker as I was juggling home lessons with my twin five-year-olds at the time. Charming, isn’t it?

The call centre background was absolutely dreadful, with a shoddy recording playing that was rather distracting. To top it off, the lady's English was so difficult to understand that it was akin to deciphering a foreign language. It's become rather common knowledge that when you encounter a strong Indian accent, it’s best to just end the call. Many companies are steering away from Indian call centres these days, primarily because of privacy concerns. In essence, it's wise to avoid chatting with Indian representatives over the phone.

I finally heard them say "currys mobile," sounded like someone with an accent. They were asking which company my phone was with and trying to push an upgrade on me. I only answered because my family lives in Arbroath and I was worried something might be wrong. Proper annoying they have to pull stunts like that.

Got a call from 012141333037, said it was from casspian care technologies, but it was an automated message. They told me to opt out of marketing through gmail and said if I had questions to press 1.
