I keep receiving calls from this number time and again.

My phone protector flagged this number as potentially dodgy. After I answered, I reached the same conclusion. It seems to be a sales pitch for online trading services.

When I picked up, the caller was asking for someone who isn’t here. I had a little laugh then told them they’d got the wrong number. Instead of just saying okay, they kept wanting to know what was funny about it. Honestly, sounded a bit annoying. I just ended the call since it felt like a complete waste of time.

Has anyone picked up from this number? I noticed a couple of missed calls from it and I’m guessing it might be one of those call centre robocalls trying to check if my number’s active? I never answer calls from numbers I don’t recognise and there’s no voicemail either. I tried searching online to find out who it could be, but didn’t get anything useful. I got a call from this number but no idea who it could be. I looked it up and saw other people mentioning it's probably a telemarketer dealing with online trading. Has anyone else had a ring from them? What's the story with these calls?

They rang up claiming to be from some kind of finance company checking on life insurance policies. They had outdated information, so I reckon they must have bought a list somewhere. Definitely not legit or up-to-date. They were quite polite, but I quickly hung up as I wasn’t about to hand over any info, let alone part with any cash.

Nothing new, really. I just let it ring out since the number isn’t saved anywhere. Nowadays, if it’s not in my contacts, I ignore it. If they actually want to talk, they can leave a voicemail or drop a text. But this one did neither, so I figure it’s just some dodgy scammer. I’ve blocked them a few times, but they always reappear with a slightly different number. Now, I just switch off the call, set the phone aside, and let it ring out on its own.
