When I picked up, the caller was asking for someone who isn’t here. I had a little laugh then told them they’d got the wrong number. Instead of just saying okay, they kept wanting to know what was funny about it. Honestly, sounded a bit annoying. I just ended the call since it felt like a complete waste of time.

Has anyone picked up from this number? I noticed a couple of missed calls from it and I’m guessing it might be one of those call centre robocalls trying to check if my number’s active? I never answer calls from numbers I don’t recognise and there’s no voicemail either. I tried searching online to find out who it could be, but didn’t get anything useful. Would rather not call back until I know who's on the other end. Does anyone have a clue?

I got a call from this number but no idea who it could be. I looked it up and saw other people mentioning it's probably a telemarketer dealing with online trading. Has anyone else had a ring from them? What's the story with these calls?

Received a call from someone claiming to be with a financial brokerage, supposedly reviewing life insurance policies. They had outdated information, indicating they've likely acquired it from some dubious source. It all seemed rather fishy and not authentic. While they were courteous during our conversation, I chose to cut the call short as I have absolutely no desire to share any personal information or part with my cash.

Just the usual routine, really. I let the phone ring until it gives up, seeing as it’s not a number I recognise. I’ve taken to doing this with every unknown caller; if they've got something to say, they can either drop a voicemail or send a text message. However, in this case, they did neither, which leads me to believe they’re nothing more than inconsiderate leeches. Occasionally, I do add them to my block list, but it seems pointless as they often resurface with some slight variation on their phone number. So now, I simply switch off and let it ring its course.
