Caller claimed to be from Falkirk Research (not sure that’s even real?) I asked if it was a private firm, but before I could say anymore, she just hung up! Definitely spam, don’t give her any details or answer her questions. Could be some sort of ID theft attempt? Best to let your voicemail get it, if they’re legit they’ll leave their name and number. Had a call some time back with the same voice, but said she was from EDINBURGH research!

They said they were from Clyde Research, then told me it was a small market research firm in Largs when I asked. Problem is, the number wasn't even from Largs. When I asked them to say the company name again, they just hung up. I can’t see any proper market research company behaving like that - trustworthy ones always stress they follow the rules. Feels like they’re not legit and I wouldn’t trust them.

A woman with a Scottish accent, sounded like she was from "Clyde or somewhere," called me. She was quite polite and asked if I had a minute to answer some questions. I guessed she’d ask if I’d prefer updating my kitchen or bathroom, and she confirmed it. I told her I've had loads of calls like this and have already asked to be removed from their list. She promised to put me on the do-not-call list. Time will tell if that actually happens.

They left a rather peculiar message on my landline, which was nothing more than an incessant series of electronic beeps. Curious to know who it was, I used the 1471 service to retrieve their number.
