They called us, and when we returned the call, these individuals claimed that they hadn’t contacted us at all.

I received a rather dubious phone call claiming to be from Halifax. They were rather insistent, yet I found it peculiar as we're not affiliated with any bank. The caller had a Scottish accent and was calling from Lanarkshire. Quite odd, wouldn't you agree?
