Phone number ☎️ 01236434643 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation impersonating Microsoft support, often using various phone numbers and aliases like "Harry Edward." Callers claim that the recipient's computer is hacked or compromised, pressuring them to carry out questionable actions online. Many report rude or abrupt behaviour when challenged, and some note receiving no voicemail messages. The calls frequently coincide with genuine technical issues but are unrelated to actual Microsoft support. this lady called claiming to be sophie from microsoft, i mentioned id gotten loads of calls recently from supposed microsoft peeps but i knew they were dodgy scammers. she told me it was actually the first time microsoft were ringing me, said my pc was hacked and being used by someone else. i told her i already knew what the problem was and then she just ended the call. funny thing is, they've switched their number once again.

same story here - this bloke claiming to be “harry edward” from “microsoft” has been ringing me for three days (but luckily not over the weekend) using three separate numbers. he asked me to enter something into google so he could supposedly “fix my computer issue”. i didn’t go for it and told him he was a scammer. still, he keeps ringing. best thing is just to hang up on him straight away. funny timing on his part though, as my pc started showing blue screens right after the recent windows update. but nope, harry, my computer isn’t hacked!

Got another call where no one spoke, and they used a landline number that probably isn't even real but looks legit enough. How can anyone tell if these calls are from real people? I reckon BT or someone should really look into these sorts of numbers.

I received a call from this number asking if I owned a computer. When I asked why, the person just told me to answer the question, calling me some horrible names. Then, out of nowhere, they just ended the call. Really odd behaviour.

Seems like this number's back in use, but there’s nothing left on the voicemail.

Got a call from someone saying they were Microsoft, telling me my PC was getting hacked. Total rubbish! Definitely one of those scam call centres from India. Such muppets.

I got a call today from someone who actually knew my address and started talking about my computer. They claimed my system was under attack while we were speaking. I told them I didn’t even own a computer, and of course, they just cut the call right away! Not surprised at all.

So this bloke called me saying he was from Microsoft’s support team, telling me my PC had been hacked. He rattled off some ID number and mentioned knowing my computer’s licence key - no clue if that was legit though. I asked for a number I could ring back on, and he gave me 1173180848. I told him I’d look it up online and find a different number to call, then he just ended the call. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

I’ve got a pretty lengthy voicemail greeting where I explain that I don’t pick up calls if the number is hidden, outside the local area, or from abroad - but they’re welcome to leave a message. Loads of those dodgy automated scam calls hang up after around 10 seconds into the greeting though, so they never even leave a message. It’s happened quite a few times now.

Got a call a moment ago claiming to be from Microsoft. I was like, really? That’s great then, mate. Then they just hung up on me. Cheeky! Haha.
