I haven't the foggiest who was on the other end of that line or what they wanted. I picked up the phone, but it was just silence, so I decided to end the call. Having now seen the feedback about this number, I’m definitely going to add it to my block list.

Just like a few folks mentioned before, I got a call from someone with a strong Asian or Indian accent, saying they were from Carphone Warehouse with some sort of promotion. I told them my number’s on the TPS list, so they weren’t allowed to call me. That seemed to shut them up quickly, as they just hung up straight away.

I picked up the phone, but didn’t utter a word; there was a good nine seconds of nothing before they hung up... definitely feels like a scam to me!

I got a call on my mobile about half past twelve on 5th February 2022. The caller claimed to be ringing from a Scottish landline, but she spoke with a really strong Indian or Asian accent. She mentioned something about a free mobile phone deal. When I tried asking which company she was with, her answer was so quick and thick with accent that I couldn’t catch a word. I ended the call quite nicely after that.

Just got called by someone with a really thick Indian accent, chatting away about mobiles or something. Took me a bit to understand what they were on about, sounded like some sales pitch but wasn't completely sure. Kinda confusing but didn’t feel like a scam or anything, just one of those random calls you get sometimes.

I had this weird call where the person kept mentioning some link like [#]validator.w3.org/#validate_by_i and said it would fix problems with my laptop. They wanted me to type it in to “validate” or “prove” some stuff. Felt super dodgy to me, probably just a scam trying to mess with your computer. Stay alert folks!

Received an unsolicited call today from what sounded like a rather persuasive Indian call centre. They were going on about some supposed issue with my computer, claiming to use something called “validator w3” to demonstrate that there was a fault. Definitely gave off a dodgy vibe, so I suspect these chaps might be scammers fishing for personal details.

Received a call purporting to be from BT Open Reach. The person on the other end had a very convincing accent, possibly from an Indian call centre. They inquired whether I had noticed a drop in my Internet speed, which I indeed had. They then mentioned a fix involving something called WC3 Validator. However, they became rather insistent in trying to extract personal details from me. Just a word of caution-be wary of this sort of call!
