I don’t get why this website is being so reluctant to label these calls as scams. A quick look shows this: “The 01235 area code is assigned to Abingdon and nearby places. But this particular number isn’t from a valid range. If you’ve had a call from it, chances are the caller has spoofed the ID.” Ofcom’s data says numbers beginning with 01235619 aren’t supposed to be used. So honestly, who else would be pretending to be this number? Either some government agency or a downright con artist, I reckon.
